MY EXPERIENCE
![](/images/open-quotation-mark.png)
It's Jennifer from Texas. I'm an educational trainer, wife, and mom
to 2 terrific kids. In addition to my family and my job, I'm passionate about reading, cooking, and staying in shape. I
even participated in my first mini triathlon.* While I didn't win any trophies, I felt satisfied just crossing the finish line.
I was diagnosed with RMS in 2004, and I've been on KESIMPTA since 2021.

Determination Is Key
I won't let my RMS change my future or my goals. At first when I got my diagnosis in 2004, I was terrified. The only person I knew with RMS was in a wheelchair. It was an emotional struggle in the beginning, and I turned to overeating to try to fix feeling depressed. But I worked on changing my attitude to look toward the future. As a result, I was still able to get a master's degree, a doctoral degree, adopt 2 amazing children, and be a guest lecturer at Harvard University. I have prioritized living my life to the fullest. At times, it can be difficult, but I've found ways to work through that. These days, I'm feeling hopeful.

Talking to My Doctor
Having a good relationship with my doctor is so important to me. I had gone to mine for help when I was not happy on my former treatment. He was optimistic KESIMPTA would be a good fit, and so far, it has been! I'm so glad we had that conversation when we did.

My Personal Coordinator
My Alongside™ KESIMPTA Coordinator, Wendy, has had a huge impact on my overall KESIMPTA experience. She's always there to talk through anything with me, answer my questions, and send me helpful resources. Wendy has truly been supportive whenever I feel overwhelmed dealing with co-pays and specialty pharmacies. When I ran into hurdles with my coverage and my insurance company was being difficult, Wendy was like my big brother there to assist me.

MRI Hope
Because of KESIMPTA, I'm not as scared to get an MRI. I know how I feel on the outside, but I am interested to see the actual MRI results. I have a better mindset going into my scans. While my results are unique to me, I'm so happy to say that since I started KESIMPTA, I haven't had any relapses.†

Helping Others
I want to share my story because, by trade, I am an educator.
Helping other people has always been my passion. I want to encourage other people with RMS to find what works for them,
and not hesitate to raise their concerns to their doctor. Also, I want them to know that RMS is not the end of the life
they enjoy. I thought my life as I knew it was over when I was first diagnosed,
and I wish my younger self could just see me now!
