MY EXPERIENCE

Hey, I'm Walt, I'm a mechanical engineer living in Texas with my wife and my son. I was diagnosed in 2021, so I'm still new to RMS and KESIMPTA is my first treatment. I enjoy spending my spare time being outside with my family, watching sports, and going on bike rides.*

The Uncertainty of It All

In the spring of 2021, I started experiencing some unusual migraines. I went to the doctor and got a CAT scan, which revealed some small lesions. At this point I was a bit scared, I didn't know what was wrong, so I went to a neurologist and got an MRI, he then diagnosed me with RMS. I felt kind of sad at first, I didn't know what to expect. But as I kept talking to my doctor, I started to feel better about it.

Choosing My 1st Treatment

When discussing treatment options with my neurologist, he recommended KESIMPTA and an infusion treatment. From the get-go the idea of taking KESIMPTA at home and being able to administer it myself was appealing, even if the concept of an injectable made me a little nervous. KESIMPTA felt like the right choice for me.

Talking to My Doctor

Once my doctor and I had decided on KESIMPTA, he talked to me more in depth about it. He talked to me about the efficacy of this B-cell treatment, how KESIMPTA was delivered using the Sensoready® Pen, and its safety profile. Knowing more about the safety and potential side-effects, I felt reassured I made the appropriate choice for me. See the results.

My Active Lifestyle

I have a busy work schedule and an active lifestyle, so being able to take KESIMPTA at home was the right choice for me. My son loves being outdoors and I want to be able to keep up with that, now and in the future.

My Hopes for the Future

I'm looking forward to just living a happy life, spending time with my wife, and watching my son grow. I also wanted to share my story to help others learn about MS and that everyone's situation is different. People that have MS don't want to be treated differently, we want to be looked at like regular people without a condition.

Someone from your health care team will give you guidance on how to take KESIMPTA for the first time.
